What is your morning routine like?
About six months ago, I developed this morning routine where I like to take care of my skin first. Waking up, give a good face wash, and then do a basic skincare routine of some serums and of course sunscreen. So that is like my meditation,
Just going through those steps every single day is kind of therapeutic for me 🛀
What do you do in the evenings?
Evenings are more relaxed. once I'm done with my work I like to come back home, read a book about something that I'm trying to learn, maybe some business concept.
If I'm feeling too relaxed then I'm I would like to read a fiction book.
Books are my go-to, so I try to have a part of my evening where I spend 30 to 40 minutes reading 📚
How do you manage your workload?
I have been an F&B entrepreneur for the last 10 years now. In my line of work, long working hours are required. Before we started Dohful, I used to have a cafe and I used to work from 9 am to 11 pm. Now with Dohful, it's much easier for me as I'm done by 8:00 pm.
I would say that it is upon us how we want to prioritize our day such that we prioritize ourselves as well 🥰
It's always possible to bring your work back home but I try to not let that happen.
How do you Identify areas to improve?
I try to take it one day at a time. I get very overwhelmed if I have like a million things to do at once. I try to take it one task at a time or one day at a time.
As far as growth is concerned, if I'm better today than I was yesterday, I consider that as growth.
I'm not at all concerned about where the world is, I'm just concerned with where I am and where I can be tomorrow 😄
So that's all I'm bothered about at any point in time.
What do you do for your mental health?
A lot of things, actually. I have started prioritizing my own health care by caring for my skin, my hair, and my schedule. All of this has helped me ground up a little bit and has helped me collect myself. I’m always in the moment when it comes to what I'm doing and where I'm doing it.
I have actually started taking therapy as well. So I go for a session once a week and that helps me a lot.
One hour a week, I get to say whatever I want to say without the fear of being judged. ✨
I can just be myself without any kind of fear at that time.
Any advice for entrepreneurs and team leaders?
Mental health is something that is very personal to everyone. I have seen people get triggered even when mental health was simply mentioned.
I would say that if somebody needs a day, give it to them. If somebody is fine with pushing through, let them push through.
We all work in different ways and the key is to identify how that would give us the empathy of allowing other people to work their own way through their own stuff 🌞
I believe every founder should pay high attention to their own mental health first.
As the company is an extrapolation of what you are. Similarly, if your mental health is great on the good side, then your entire company's mental health will be on the better side 💪
